Joey Lee Cabral is a talented Hispanic watercolorist born in California, moved to El Paso at age 11, 27 years ago. His work is a reflection of his eclectic tastes and styles.  He brings a unique perspective to various characters in the comic book world, infusing them with his own creative flair and using watercolors and inks to bring them to life in bold, vibrant colors. In addition to his pop culture-inspired pieces, Joey also creates deeply personal works that explore themes of identity, faith, and heritage. His work is a celebration of his Hispanic roots and his experiences growing up in Texas, and he often incorporates these elements into his paintings in subtle and powerful ways.

 

Through his art, Joey seeks to connect with others and create a sense of community. He has gained a following for his distinctive style and his ability to capture the essence of beloved characters, and he continues to push the boundaries of watercolor and ink to explore new avenues of expression.
