When a young boy is chosen to host the tribe’s new guardian totem, he must embark on a perilous journey through an alternate spiritual dimension. Thus begins a story of a son whose life is upended by a responsibility that he did not choose, and of the father who cannot let him go.

Jorge Luis Juarez Villalva, also known as Zipactli JJ Villalva, is a free spirit who was born and raised in the Aztec lands. From a young age, he showed a great interest in art, focusing on storytelling as an illustrator and professional comic artist. Over the years, he has had the opportunity to work on various challenging projects in several countries, expanding his experience in the world of comics. He has worked in countries such as Colombia, Germany, Canada, the United States, and Mexico, and has also been featured in museums and collective exhibitions. Additionally, he has contributed as a writer to various publications in Mexico.

Joey Cabral, Variant Cover
Joey Lee Cabral is a talented Hispanic watercolorist born in California, moved to El Paso at age 11, 27 years ago. His work is a reflection of his eclectic tastes and styles. He brings a unique perspective to various characters in the comic book world, infusing them with his own creative flair and using watercolors and inks to bring them to life in bold, vibrant colors. In addition to his pop culture-inspired pieces, Joey also creates deeply personal works that explore themes of identity, faith, and heritage. His work is a celebration of his Hispanic roots and his experiences growing up in Texas, and he often incorporates these elements into his paintings in subtle and powerful ways.
Through his art, Joey seeks to connect with others and create a sense of community. He has gained a following for his distinctive style and his ability to capture the essence of beloved characters, and he continues to push the boundaries of watercolor and ink to explore new avenues of expression.

Jacome Paz (UnOyente), Variant Cover
Julio E. Jácome Paz Aka. "UnOyente". Mexican freelancer illustrator. Enthusiast of inks, admirer of all great masters of illustration and comic. As a child he was for life impressed by Gustave Doré masterful illustrations and the comics of Hal Foster and Bill Watterson. Then he became an avid reader and develop a true love for fantasy and science fiction genres, especially Sword & Sorcery. His style is always evolving, but the ink and fantasy remains. Currently his goal is create comics for now, developing his own short stories and sharing them online.

Connor Riches, Variant Cover
British illustrator and creator Connor Riches specializes in developing dramatic, monochrome artwork that is visually pleasing, as well as tells a story. Connor uses his style and skillset to create detail, contrast and shadow for illustrations within the fields of comics, movies and games. Inspired by huge names such as Jock, Todd McFarlane and Jason Shawn to name a few, his goal is to take any idea to the next level through drawing and design.
